Great Wall

Here we are about to climb the crowded section of the Great Wall behind us.

This is the Badaling section, built during the Ming Dynasty, roughly 1300 to 1700, to keep out the Manchurians, who finally overran the Wall and founded the Qing dynasty that lasted until 1911.
